2. Pakai bumbung bambu. Di suatu peternakan ayam petelur pernah diterapkan dengan gerakan 1.000 bumbung. Pada siang hari, tikus akan masuk dan tidur di dalam bumbung. Bisa dipanen seminggu 2 kali pada siang hari. Si pemanen diupah Rp 100/ekor. Tidak efektifnya, populasi tikus lebih cepat pertambahannya dibanding yang tertangkap;
3. Pakai suara gelombang ultrasonic, kagak ngaruh, kagak ada takutnya;
4. Ditembak pakai senapan angin. Tikus yang masih hidup mengamuk, melakukan balas dendam dengan memakan punggung ayam. Akhirnya, ayamnya ada yang mati dan ada yang masih hidup seperti sundel bolong, punggungnya berlubang (Jawa: krowok);
5. Ditangkapi pakai pentungan atau jaring. Yang tertangkap dibantai. Tidak efektif karena pertambahan populasinya lebih cepat daripada yang tertangkap.
